there is a spoon

just playing with rim lighting... i was short on time and short on inspiration today...

and rats... this looks like it's totally black... on my computer you can definitely see the outline all the way around... rats rats rats rats rats...

@northy That's very subtle indeed, slightly better on flickr, I can see nearly all of it. Very minimal.

You may want to check the link to your flickr, it needs to have "flickr" removed before http... etc...

I had to screen grab the image, put it into Photoshop and increase the exposure to +4 with a gamma of 1.10 - then you can see some really nice full rim lighting ;-)

I did view it large and it shows the top pretty well, but Flickr does the job better.

I have so much trouble knowing how light/dark to make my shots to make sure they'll be seen at their best on here. Sometimes it goes completely wrong xx
