not only is this selective colour, it's also colourized... this was messy... i'm beginning to think it would have almost been easier to use food colouring in the glycerine... but then it would have been even messier... and i would have had to deal with the fact that the little bottle is actually yellow glass...
It does sound like messy but I like how this turned out, that red liquid is so mesmerizing & it looks mysterious especially with that title, what kind of elixir is it, what does it do....
@archaeofrog tx Katie... i sort of followed a tutorial on youtube for colourizing a black and white photo... i started by turning the photo black and white in LR... in photoshop i made a duplicate copy and added a curves adjustment layer - played with the colour channels to get to red... merged the adjustment layer with the copy, added a mask and then masked out all the red except in the liquid...
Seriously cool processing and lighting - interesting processing. @johnnyfrs don't you find you get sucked into this bloody VD stuff? (and you should read my tags)
Hi Northy! I like your challenge...I'll get started on it right away. I have one for you that is on my bucket list and that I have been reading up on lately...tilt shift photography. It should be a landscape/outdoor shot and it can even be in black and white f you would like! :) Hope that works for you! Have fun!
