the eavesdropper

yeah - a bit random... it was meant to be something else, but the something else didn't pan out... so... this!

tx everyone for sticking by me this past week... by brain has been going a million miles a minute on work with nary a brain cell to spare for photography...
I like the random aspect- makes you look twice and think about it!

So the knight said to the bishop, .... and the bishop said to the actress.... well, we won't go there!

That cloud of smoke is suspiciously giraffe-shaped, hmm. Reminds me of the Rudyard Kipling story on how the animals got their camoflage :) Awesome work, here - the lighting is super.

Great lighting and composition. I like the way the knight seems to be whispering secrets.

Cool! Love the giraffe shadow behind.

very clean foreground, and aesthetic monochrome. the knight (here a horse, most importantly) facing in a mirrored fashion to the giraffe in the background while coupled with the rook on the patterned board seems to suggest a psychological investigation, but a rather open-ended association i wouldnt claim to be able to pin down... revealing the public shadow/alter-self through reinforced patterns at home? or a need to get back to routine even though the more grandiose interactions can be enjoyable? etc.

i dont believe in 'randomness', though. superER string theory.

When I first looked at this, I thought the giraffe was smoke. It was only on closer inspection, that I realized that it was actually a giraffe.

I love the darkness from which the chessmen are merging. They are definitely passing on secrets of dire import!

"And as the horse told the rook off in no uncertain terms, nobody noticed the giraffe slinking through the room…"
;-) Great work, as always… Fav.
