I know what you mean it is hard to keep up and you have so many followers it would be nearly impossible. Don't worry people understand everyone does what they can. Most people just want to share and see all the wonderful shots anyway.
Love the title and composition of this, love the b/w too.

Very cleverly composed.

OK, now I'm starting to think you could be "Trouble" from the TV series "Grimm," she carries a rook everywhere with her... She's a tad young to have teenagers though...

@6plus1blurred LOL Alex! So true! This is awesome Northy!Never any need for your apologies .I am just so happy to see you whenever you are on the feed !

Just realised that I wrote "rook" up above, but meant "knight." One day the hands and brain will work together without this sort of incident, or so I keep telling myself...

Hi Northy. I am your get pushed partner for this week. I should have been following you ages ago because I have missed seeing some truly creative and inspirational shots in your album. Having looked through your shots it is very difficult to consider any technique that you might feel challenged by. I know this won't particularly 'get you pushed' but I challenge you to take a high speed shot that is not a water crown. Please see this link http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/11/02/when-time-freezes-50-beautiful-examples-of-freeze-photography/ I look forward to seeing the shot/s.

Stop apologising - keep shooting... especially if you've got a few more like this one up your sleeve.

The black knight contemplates suicide? Surely not! I love this composition and I'm glad you are not even apologising!

Funny. Also, I understand how you feel about the back-filling. A some point I just accept my inconsistency.

Good to read you are terribly behind -- I totally relate. It's fun going through your images -- what a great mind you have! I love this one, the title, the figure against the falls (or dam). Really intriguing visually.

I have been playing see-saw this month. One week I'm up on things the next week- down! So don't worry about me- I understand! This shot reminds me of a short story I read in high school- Descent into the Malstrom by Sake (I think that's how you spell the name). If the horse jumps he'll have a slow descent into the center of the whirlpool (although I realize that's waterfalls behind him).

That knight sure gets around!
