I'm packed and ready to leave on our vacation... this shot is from yesterday (i'm posting on Sunday)...
On Saturday we went to a wedding in a tiny town some 3 hours' drive from Toronto... sadly it rained pretty hard all afternoon (it was meant to be an outdoor wedding, but ended up having to be held in a barn instead - it was still absolutely lovely)... between the ceremony and the reception the weather cleared up a bit and we drove around checking out the sights, including the beach... this is a shot of a random kid playing on the shore line...
tx for the lovely comments on my etsooi penguin shot... that was a very silly exercise where i ended up staying up much too late as i was determined to put the penguin in the fridge ;p
In the far south of the South Island of NZ, the trees are all bent over like this but manage to stand up to tremendous winds! This one looks like its grown this way! Nice shadow and sea light!
If it's not too late, Mira, could you leave me off get-pushed for the next few weeks? Transition from Beaver Island and summer to Chicago and work is starting to feel overwhelming. If it's too late for the upcoming week, I'll make it work, but then leave me off for sure the following week.
I would like to thank you for sharing your great pics with me/us!
I'm about to end my 365 journey which I've enjoyed so much and learned a lot from. I've learned much from your pics! Thank you so much and I wish you lots of inspiration and all the best! :)
aha - I see from Taffy's comment that you have a name - but you're northy to me. Which would you prefer me to use.
This is a stunning lone tree photo. FAV
@jocasta tx Jocasta... "northy" works just fine... a few folks got my name off the flickr site... i really don't use it here, although it doesn't bother me one way or the other :)
