this is one of those concepts that definitely worked better in my head then in camera... and the situation isn't helped by the fact that i don't have the right action figures to recreate the scene... but for those of you out there who are diehard Star Wars aficionados who do not subscribe to revisionist history, you know what i mean...
right? (or should i just crawl back under my rock and wait for a proper dose of inspiration to hit?)
of course this works! i've not seen star wars since the son was a little boy (never had the inclination to watch them with the grands) but i somehow know some of these guys got beat up bad by the good guys.
I like it, and I love the idea and think you did a good job (as usual)...except...what's the black dot/blob on the right side of the frame? I can't decide if that's distracting or one of those things you can't not see once you start looking at it. And maybe, without it, there would be too much white space on that side. I can't decide...
@dood14 Tx Eddie.. I always really appreciate your thoughtful comments... the black blob is the under armour bit between the hand / glove and the sleeve of the over armour... you see a lot of it because of the angle, but because of the narrow dof you can’t really see what it is... I didn’t give it too much thought last night but I totally see what you mean... I’m not sure what else I might have done in retrospect... I did experiment with greater dof but I don’t think the additional definition would’ve helped in this case... so... hmmmmmm...
