for get pushed this week @30pics4jackiesdiamond challenged me to draw inspiration from the following quote which has been attributed to Alfred Rupert Hall (a historian of science... not to be confused with Alfred Hall the footballer, Alfred Daniel Hall the agriculturalist, Alfred A Hall - a Vermont attorney, politician and judge, or Alfred Hall the Norwegian pop duo ;p)

this one had me going in a number of different directions... i really wanted to do something with the book "Daughter of Time" by Josephine Tey, but short of just taking a picture of the book (which i'm pretty sure i have lying around somewhere although the last 6 times i read it on Kindle) i just didn't know what to do with it...
i was also tempted to do something around the whole "post truth" thing, "fake news", the Durstine quote "i'm thinking - don't confuse me with the facts"... the Dorothy L Sayers quote: "...facts are like cows. If you stare them in the face hard enough, they generally run away." (which in fairness is said by a character, in reference to his mother, in one of her books, not by Sayers herself)... the Janet Evanovich quote: “I knew there were no such things as death cooties. Unfortunately, that's an intellectual fact. And death cooties are an emotional reality.” from one of the Stephanie Plum books... the emails from a former colleague which were incredibly dense and circuitous, but had to be read because there was always something really important in what he was saying... and a handful of other things...
there... is that enough "esoteric chaff" for you????
PS - this is also for week 44 of the Dogwood 52 week challenge... this week was "wild card" - basically photographer's choice - we are to capture an image on our own terms, but have to explain our intent... 'nuff said ;p
