i was trying to decide whether to post the cliche early morning cityscape/sun shot or the cliche squirrel eating a peanut... today the cityscape won... the squirrel will no doubt appear later in the week...
i have a question about this scene... when the sun first appeared over the horizon it was coming up behind the two buildings on the right... and of course it travelled in an arc to the position behind the clouds over approx 10 minutes... my question is, how far away would someone have to be standing to see the sunrise behind the CN tower? i ask because someone posted a shot to instagram taken just down the road from where i was standing (less than 1/2 a km to the left)... curious as to whether i missed a stellar opportunity!!!!
Cool shot, do you have the Photo Pills app? I've not yet mastered the how to's but they have oodles of you tube videos ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuvTPoeIqC0 ) this one might be helpful. The app is about $10 -one time purchase
I was going to suggest Photo Pills but see someone already has.
Alyn Wallace has a good video about how he uses it for lining up Milky Way shots - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgYu2cYB1dU
Great cityscape. I haven't seen the second photo so it's hard to judge. Perhaps someone took a picture from the drone. So it does not change the distance but the height.
