a "quick" iPhone shot from today... lightroom is all but unusable and i am beyond frustrated... i have pics from yesterday, but after spending the last hour trying to get them loaded into LR and then fiddling with this shot, i'm calling it a night...

Sorry to hear about your LR problems. Photoshop and Lightroom have become huge resource hogs, have you tried adding RAM?. This image is awesome, btw.
