the macro lens on my oly has a 1:1 feature that i never use because it's a pain-in-the-a$$... you have to hold it down and focus manually at the same time... anyhoo... gave it a go for the wildlife prompt on the 30 day thing and got this... it is only cropped a smidgeon...
Lovey close up. I am a bit surprised by your reluctance to the macro function in oly. I love this lens for the fact that it can be quickly set to normal tele. When I was still playing with the Canon, I had a special macro lens. And when you sit so quietly in the meadow, some forest animals often come out and you can't take a photo because you have the wrong lens. And in oly one switch and you have a tele. Very large mapping is actually inconvenient, but already 1: 4 does it without any problem. And you don't scare the models.
@haskar thanks Haskar... i DO use the macro lens... i just rarely bother with the 1:1 feature... for everything else - you're absolutely right! it's great being able to switch from macro to 60mm 🙃... my canon macro was similar... definitely handy!
