Great atmospheric shot and fits with the poem too. Even though it ends with a cheerful stanza I’ve always thought it had a slightly dark note speaking of his compulsive tie with the sea.
@gardencat thx! But I dunno…. I always thought of it as a yearning thing or maybe a bit of a melancholy thing rather than a dark thing…. Maybe it amounts to the same thing?
@northy Maybe melancholy is a better word. But it speaks to me of a sort of bondage. Maybe I’m putting too much weight on the “must” go down. In any case your photo fits with my feelings about the poem so, thank you.
