Love and Yellow Fire Hydrants by northy

Love and Yellow Fire Hydrants

Although I do not think that passerby was feelin' the love :)

Apparently some people think our yellow fire hydrants are amazing... personally I am dubious, although perhaps I just need to wait for a sunny day and try a little harder ;p

For the record, I was down on my knees in a short tight skirt while taking this shot, on the very busy corner by Yonge Dundas square... I plan to spend the next three days googling for "crazy lady with a camera" images to see if any of the gazillion tourists snapped one of me!
We have yellow and blue hydrants in Ottawa... and no that guy is not feeling the love... haha...

If we tested it for germs I wonder what we would find :)

A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Liking all the matching colors, the hydrant with the hard rock sign, the bus and the pots. Nice eye.

He does look a bit glum. The yellow hydrants are quite loud. I don't think we have hydrants at all in NZ. I love this shot. Your photos are marvelous, short skirt crouching is obviously paying off!

Your story makes the photo. Very fun shot and fun to picture the crazy lady with the mini skirt and camera;-).

hahahaha I like that you chose the busiest corner in the city for the hydrant shot :) I really like how they look like tiny yellow creatures with arms wide open :-D That yellow vs. red -thingy could yield more pics! Anyway, LOVE ! :)

@janmaki Of course I chose that corner... EVERYTHING happens on that corner :). I have some from later in the day when a yellow trolley bus was where the red bus is now :)

Hard rock cafe and a open top london red bus, would have been perfect for the cliché challenge :)

Great PoV. Love the texture on that hydrant.

Great PoV and colours. He's probably self-conscious of his short tie and didn't want his photo taken

@northy You could have taken your own :) There was a street photoger, I can't remember who, that earlier this year dressed as a hospital patient with a gown, drip hanging out of his arm etc. to photograph peoples reaction to him.

Love your title :)

This has so much in it Northy, and the sparse colours in it really pop! Try turning one old fire hydrant into a letter box I say and then you will feel the love!
