for Get Pushed this week Jane challenged me to "capture something beautiful and natural close up"... i had this idea of shooting some rocks as mini landscapes, but that was an epic fail - i'd forgotten what a pain the narrow DOF on a macro can be...
@humphreyhippo i think that would require manual focussing, wouldn't it? because i'd have to have the camera on the gorillapod and couldn't move it to find the next point to focus on... i have the eyesight of a bat so i cannot imagine how i could get that to work ;p
I think you could run Magic Lantern on your camera and do focus-stacking to increase the DoF.
