thanks for the continued views, comments and favs... really wishing internet was more cooperative up here (i'm loading these via the hotspot on my iPhone, and even that is running iffy)...
Oh I really like this. Actually, at first, I thought it was a set of a perfect formations of planes. It really does make for a great abstract shot, well done :-)
@simon0128 tx Simon... for the most part, i am loving the 70D... one thing i noticed last night, though, is that focussing in the dark is practically impossible... with the T2i i was able to set aperture, bump up the ISO and focus manually in live view, even in total darkness, then decrease ISO for a long exposure... somehow live view was able to show me the image for focussing... this doesn't seem to work the same on the 70D which i found a bit frustrating... for example, i can't see the stars to focus on in live view...
I haven't done any star shots yet, are you using the x10 zoom in live view for better focus. I have used a nd400 9 stop filter in live view fitted to the camera while I was focusing and found no problems but it was a huge upgrade from my 450d
@simon0128 yes... live view x10... it worked great on my T2i when i was in yellowknife shooting the northern lights... i'm thinking that i may be doing something wrong with the 70D for this... the live view seems to work a bit differently from the T2i... need to dig up the manual...
otherwise, it works a treat :)
