but it occurred to me to try this, so i did... for the colours or more challenge... and for the close up theme...

for those who were wondering, there is no magic to this shot... it is a half slice of orange (crescent shape) with the flat side standing on a reflective surface... the room was dark and i had my trusty ikea lamp shining behind the subject, towards the camera... the scraggy gap is where the centre pith used to be... there was a bit of tweaking in LR, but not huge amounts all things considered... the caption was partly due to the alien landscape feel of the image, and partly due to the fact that i rarely shoot colour ;p
