sooc study in metering

decided to experiment with the metering settings in the EM5 mark ii... i think i preferred spot metering for this particular situation although i think i generally shoot on centre weight...

all 5 shots are sooc (other than the metering note added in PS)... all were taken in aperture mode iso100 f/1.7 -2.3 EV... picture mode is monotone, -2 contrast, -2 sharpness, red bw filter, low key gradation...

metering modes are described here:

Nice to see the different metering effects. Well presented.

Interesting experiment. I think I just leave mine on matrix metering (which I guess is like the ESP mode?) and then sort it out with exposure compensation.

I should do that. My skills are so limited on understanding camera settings, lighting, and the like.

One day I will understand what you share with us!! This looks complicated so think I'll just point and focus and click and adjust +/- for now!!

Interesting to see how metering works in this.

You put me to shame with the effort you are making over this - all I do is go out for an hour or so and point my camera at stuff. Respect where it's due.

@vignouse thanks Richard... but really, i'm not feeling very creative at the moment... just going thru the motions... the challenge kinda gives me some purpose - so thank you for that!!
