Mystery Walls in Halifax

These walls are believed to have served as some type of military function during the early settlement of Halifax in the late 1700s and early 1800s and are now a protected archaeological site designated under Nova Scotia's Special Places Act. A very cool site to explore and I hope to go back again soon.
Very interesting image Nova, this type of dry stone walling is all over England is used generally to contain livestock and is still in use today, the construction method dates back to the Roman Empire before they invented mortar:)

Nice stone walls. There are a lot of rock walls like this in New England, too.
