The air temperature was about +5C, too cold not to be wearing a winter coat and gloves, so I'm not sure why this guy thought surfing was a great idea. I did speak with him and he said it "looks colder than it really is". The average Halifax sea temperature for March is: 0.9°C / 33.6°F.
That must be one heavy wetsuit! I know that surfers are diehards so this does not surprise me but does make me question his sanity! The photo is fabulous and I hope you got his email so he gets a copy.
Yeah, right! I don't know how much a wet suit keeps one warm, but I'm sure he's expending a fair amount of energy and thus warming himself up riding the waves.Nice action shot.
