I think the blurring in this shot is just fine, it shows the sense of movement. If you didn't have the blurring it would look as though it was just static. Great shot.

Perfect timing! Have you thought about giving it a portrait orientation cropping it fairly close to the tip of the tail of the little bird? I think It might increase the feeling that the little bird is jumping off that log. Love it already though.
