Rock monuments

While walking around the basin, we met Neil, the creator of these 5 to 10 ft tall high rock monuments. He started this project five years ago and has been adding to it ever since. Today he was doing repair work, as we had some strong winds recently, which knocked down two of his creations. He said he does this mostly for exercise during the warmer weather, as he enjoys being in outside and likes to lift weights. He also indicated his surprised by all the positive feedback he has received and is even impressed that “teens” in the area would stop and speak with him to get pointers on how to build their own.
They are lovely, he sounds like a talented man.

I couldn't imagine how tall they were until I saw that Lilliputian in their midst! WOW is about all I can say! Amazing, and, indeed, excellent exercise!

Mmm. I'm intrigued by these rock monuments. Does he cement them together, or are they just held together by the shape and build of the rocks? Lovely image!
