Many of my family members have served in the Canadian Armed Forces: my husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, cousins, uncles and grandfather. I will take time to remember how fortunate and gratefully I am, for the sacrifices they made for me, others and our country.
Definitely need to take the time to do this. Many of my family have served as well. I was in London last year at this time and was able to see the poppies at the tower. A hauntingly beautiful remembrance.
