Christmas cookies and stars

This was part of my conversation with my girl earlier today.

Kid: Mom, why are you drinking wine, it's only 3 o'clock?
Mom: Because we are baking Christmas cookies and listening to carols.
Kid: But it's not 5 o'clock.
Mom: Who said I could not have wine before 5 o'clock?
......The kid just rolls her eyes...............
Kid: Can I have hot chocolate?
Mom: Sure
