Star Wars fever by novab

Star Wars fever

I spent last night helping my sister paint black lines on Star Wars ceramic ornaments. Earlier this week me & my girl started this process with a block of clay (and my sister who is a potter), which we rolled out then used cookie cutters to make the shapes and designs. They have been fired once and are now ready for the second firing before the final painting happens. I never knew there were that many steps to making pottery decorations.

Have a great day!
Very cool - the story, the photo, everything. This is a perfect subject for black and white photo with all those masterfully painted lines and cool shapes.

@thewatersphotos @summerfield Thanks guys. My sister is selling them as decorations at a local gallery in Dartmouth. "The Dart". http://thedartgallery.com/ They are doing a tribute to Star Wars from Dec 4-15th.

And my girl wanted to make some for her bff as a Christmas gift.

They look great, and it must have taken a long time to get all those lines painted without making a mistake. Well done!

Great view and very timely . We finished watching " The great pottery throw down" on BBC this week , it was a trying to find the best new potter in England. ( I should explain we get English television here in Ireland). It was for me brilliant to see their creativity , Your Sister would like it. ( don't know can you get BBC )

@jack4john She would love that show John. We can get some of the BBC shows on Netflix, but I'm not sure about this one. I'll have to let her know it exists. :)

They look very nicely done, and your pov and dof are great. I certainly thought they were cookies at first.
