After seeing a photo by @mona65, I thought I would give it a try. This was my test shot, once I got all the gear set-up and found a way to hold the sparkler straight in the bottle (with Styrofoam, which melted once the sparkler burnt down). I only tried it once and moved on to other things, but I will try it again. I learned lots and now know what tools I need to make it happen, more sparklers, playdough, stronger wire so the cork does not droop and another bottle of bubbly.
Oh Nova, you make me smile. No this is not a flop! I had all the problems you encountered too, and although I like to make own experiences I would have loved to help you with the setup. That one that finally worked for me. Just for your information, at the end I needed nearly hundred shots, to have a result I finally posted. (And I had also a lot of shots, very similar to this one.) If you care, I will find some time tonight, and post my tipps and tricks in my shot.
@mona65 Thanks so much Mona and I'm glad I made you smile. I'd love to get a tip or trick or two. But like you I enjoy trying new things even if they don't turn out quite the way I wanted. :)
Thanks so much guys, I hope I inspired you as my dear friend @mona65 did for me. Here is her shot , if you are interested in checking it out. I can only hope I can do half as well as she did. :)
