Red-Breasted Merganser couple

While driving on a little dirt road, that I've never been down before, I spotted this couple swimming by. Had to stop the car immediately and jump out to take a couple of shots. These ducks do winter in remote parts of Nova Scotia and I was pleased to come across them today. I found their wild red eyes to be quite unusual.
