Love your focus, comp, and dof, and the presence of the dead leaf, reminding us of the way life overcomes death in spring. And the dropplets are magical. Fav.
checked your exif , you got super sharp for 50mm 1.8 , I'm trying to get something out of a 50 mm 1.8 lens of a film camera , I will take this as encouragement and try again...
Thanks to you all for your kind words & favs on spring arriving in Nova Scotia. We had a very mild winter, so the flowers are coming up sooner than usual. :)
As John noted I did not use my macro lens for this shot, as my honey recently got me a 50mm 1.8 prime lens and I'm trying to use it every day this month. I was hoping for an even sharper focus on the petals, but the rain prevented me from continuing on. I'll have to try again when the weather is better. Have a great day!
Thanks so much John & good luck, I'm sure you will succeed, as your an excellent photographer.
@Weezilou Hold off a few more days Louise, we had snow last night and it's still very cold today. I've still have my winter tires on my car, so maybe a couple more weeks of winter weather yet. But it won't be long now! :)
