This shrub is difficult to get to flower or so we were told. Every year this seems to flower freely, and I think about an elderly gentleman that lived over the road from us for many years. He lived on his own and had never married. He had a wealth of knowledge about lots of things and also a sense of humour. He had an excellent garden unlike us and always told us that this was hard to get to flower, now I'm not sure or was he pulling our leg. Wish he was still alive to ask. RIP Lindsay
