While waiting for my nephew to get ready I wandered around the garden looking for today's photo. I noticed this weathered Monarch that flitted around in the sunlight. It has parts missing from its wings and the color has faded somewhat and I wondered if it was to be a survivor and live through the winter to continue breeding in the spring, or was it enjoying some of the last sunshine of its life?
