I'm very grateful for the health service we got in this country. If you get in an accident or need urgent medical care you might be picked up by an Air Ambulance, transported to the hospital and get the treatment you need without getting a huge bill afterwards.
This helicopter, an Airbus Helicopters H135 EC35 47BFC7 (thanks flightradar24) is just taking off from Drammen Hospital
I had surgery at this hospital a couple of times, and my daughter was born here.
@monikozi It's paid over the income tax.
I'm hearing impaired, so I get hearing aids every six years. I have sleep apnea, and get all equipment for that. You don't get a bill for any of that. There are small fees you pay, normally $15-20 to see the doctor or visit the hospital. If you have paid more than $270 a year, including for prescription medicine, you get a so called "free card", and you don't have to pay for the doctor or medicine.
You can choose to go to a private hospital, but then you need to pay for that yourself
I'm jealous! In my opinion, the United States Health Care System is broken - I have to pay over $500 a month for my health insurance and its not even that great - that's great your health care is so progressive that's how it should be

@catcarter19 $500 seems a lot to me though
