We have a self driving bus in our company that traffic the city center. It's a test to see how it works in a complex traffic situation. There are no driver, but a host that can override the bus in case of any problems in the traffic. It has six seats and have space for a wheelchair.
A sort of threat to your own job, isn't it?
It looks so funny: riding so slow. It looks like a toy.
I was thinking that in my town they have just started a central 'green' line, with electrical buses. And you are starting self driving buses... 50 years apart? Or not that much?
@monikozi It is kind of a threat, but It will take a very long time before that happens.
more than 50% of our city busses are electrical. The goal is to get to 100% in a very short time.
Maybe not 50 years apart though ;)
Yes, you are right. One day, many jobs will be done by machines. But until then, let us make the best use of humans.
I was thinking that my town is about 50 years behind your town :)

I always greet my passengers, giving them a smile, saying thank you etc. Most of the times I get a smile back :)
