Greenock Sculptures

Men of the Clyde - Three men pulling a ships propeller. This statue represents an industrious Greenock and was unveiled in May 1975 by Provest Elizabeth Martin designed by -Naomi Hunt, Sculptor - Malcom Robertson

Ginger the Horse by Andy Scott. Is a memorial to a much loved cart horse, which unfortunately drowned in 1889 in the old Albert Harbour. The sight of the horse’s death and the distraught, weeping owner who was clinging to the horses neck on the quayside was witnessed by a long queue of people waiting to emigrate to America.
Two fantastic statues. Well captured. Interesting information too.
