I'm sure it didn't look like that when I used to walk over.......in the late sixties!
Have they added a bit?

@piedfly It was different; there was a narrower footbridge on the other side of the railway bridge. For the millennium They first built this footbridge, then replaced the original one, so there is now a matching pair. The trains look the same from either side
