Erected in 1898 In the park in Hucknall

Zachariah Green a native of this town who was gifted in the art of healing and spent his life in alleviating the sufferings of his fellow men. Born May 5th 1817 died January 22nd 1897.

Samuel Green 1851 – 1915 This monument also perpetuates, with gratitude, the memory of Samuel son of Zachariah Green, who inheriting the same kindly nature, and being endowed with similar gifts also devoted his life to the relief of suffering’

Zachariah Albert Green; M.C; L.R.C.P.; L.R.F.P.S.; 1892-1932 this monument also commemorates the high esteem in which Zachariah, son of Samuel Green, was held. He likewise devoted his life to the relief of suffering.

Mary Green 1888 – 1980 finally, this monument records with deep gratitude the life of Mary Green, daughter of Samuel who with the same skill and devotion continued for 65 years the healing ministry of her family. Her words were; “not me, but God working through me.”

Very interesting. Samuel Green was the first Mayor of Wynnum 1913 and Alice & Anne began a Girls College 1901 which is still very prestigious. My local community. They were born in Bridport Dorset.
