Wilford Toll Bridge by oldjosh

Wilford Toll Bridge

The tram extension to Clifton has been built across the old Toll Bridge. The middle span had already been altered and this has been strengthened. The bridge was only for pedestrians and cyclists. A list of tolls remains on the side of the toll house but it is a long time since they were abolished.
Every horse drawing a coach, stagecoach, omnibus van caravan, or any carriages were charged 6d. I wonder what the charge for a tram would be.
