Every day on my holiday Skipper the dog and I turned right out of the gate and walked along the lane sometimes only to the top of the hill where the yellowhammers sang other times continued down the hill to the old bridge built by Thomas Telford. These photos were taken during the week. The pheasant was take today at 7am on our last walk before I had to leave to catch the 7.55 am train home.
Clockwise from Top left; chaffinch, horse in the field opposite the house, hare, Highland cows, female blackbird, Jackdaw, pheasant, blue tit, roe deer sheep, another horse, blackbird, collard dove, mallard, curlew, crows. You may just be able to spot two hares on the road. We also heard cuckoos and lapwing and saw swallows, house martins, robins, great tits and starlings
@happysnaps Thank you Valerie and for the fav. I enjoyed our walks up the lane, mostly morning or evening or both. I think Skipper misses them as well, he has apparently been looking for me to return.
@gilbertwood@jan11 Thank you for your comments, I enjoyed our early morning and evening walks along the lane but this will remind me of the many things we saw and heard
