A Statue of Catherine Booth has been erected next to the one of William at Mile End. I was intrigued to find that it had been unveiled in two days time on 2nd July.
I had attended the unveiling of statue of William Booth on 10th April 1979 his 150 birthday, but was at the 02 Arena when the unveiling of the Catherine was taking place.
I am not sure when the bust of William was put up, I remember seeing it as a child and it has been cleaned up for this years 150 year of the Salvation Army
