Turnover Bridge

Beeston Canal. In the days of horse drawn barges, when the tow path changed sides bridges like this enabled the horse to cross the canal while still towing the barge.
From this side the horsed walked up over the bridge, turned right down a sloping path to the canal side and right along the narrow path under the bridge
What a lovely scene. Nicely captured.
