The Swans who were nesting beside the river Leen have produced 5 cygnets from the 7 eggs laid.

There seems to be an air of excitement about their arrival, before I reached the place they were a jogger had asked if I had seen the swans and their 5 ducklings; as I turned a bend in the river I knew where they were because admirers were on the bank.
As I was photographing them a couple of cyclist stopped, they were wondering when they had been born; a young man walking his dog stopped and said they must have been born today as the parents were still on the nest yesterday.
Last year when the swans had nested in the same place they did not raise any young as the eggs were stolen by some youths. They were caught after one of them was offering the eggs for sale on Face book, hence the rejoicing that the cygnets have arrived.
