Going to the hospital involved walking along a busy road, the verges were dry and brown apart from this clump of evening primroses. In the hospital grounds I saw this tree stump covered with bracket fungi

Two amazing images considering how hot and dry it’s been. My friend has just given me some evening primrose seedlings so I look forward to them flowering next year.
