Jacksdale Memorial by oldjosh

Jacksdale Memorial

This memorial is unusual because it not only lists the men who lost their lives in both world wars but also those who served in WW I
It was unveiled on Saturday 9th July 1921. In 1959 the statue fell off. In 2009 a new statue was erected. It is Grade II listed.

The two small pictures are on an information board along with a poem written after the original statue fell off. I have posted the poem at https://365project.org/oldjosh/2013/2019-01-30
A nice set of images and I love the poem.
