Ruddington has three museums. The Village Museum, housed in the former girls and infants school that transports you back to Edwardian times.
The Framework Knitters Museum, in frameshops cottages and outbuildings arranged around a courtyard, showing the working and living conditions of the workers of the 19 century.
The Great Central Railway (GCR) – Nottingham. Steam and diesel trains run on almost 10 miles of track to Loughborough and back. From Loughborough North Station the GCR continued to Leicester and this also is a heritage railway. Plans have been made and work has started to join the two sections, getting funding is a challenge. The museum also houses a Heritage transport collection.
