On a day of sunshine and showers of sleet and snow I visited the villages of Kings Clipstone and Clipstone. I missed a bus between the two villages, a dark cloud approaching, nowhere to shelter so deiced I may as well walk.
The Colliery closed in 2003 and the headstocks are Grade Two listed structure
