As many of our plants are dying off for the winter the fuchsia is flowering like mad.
We had one in the garden a few years ago but it died off in 42 degree heat one summer. We then planted this one and because we have had much wetter weather the last couple of years this one seems to have thrived.
@helenhall@casablanca@loweygrace Our original plant died in 42 degree heat a few years ago but since we planted this one we have been in La Nina weather pattern here with wetter cooler weather so it seems to have thrived. I fear will disappear again soon though as the forecast is that we are heading to another El Nino weather pattern with hotter dryer seasons, so I guess more bush fires and hot summers.
