Today was our photo club's monthly outing and a group of us went to the Lost in the '50s Museum at Cameron Park. We had a brilliant day and the museum is well worth a visit. After we spent a couple of hours or so at the museum we all went off for a very pleasant lunch.
It has been a beautiful sunny day and the temperature reached 22 degrees C. Not bad for winter.
This is awesome, Babs- I love the retro vibe, would've been great for last weeks theme, darn it!! Winter has been kind to us, hope it stays this way for a little while longer :)
@derekvickers@gamelee@angelar@humphreyhippo Thanks, it was a great place and a great day. The museum is owned by one couple and they have 77 vintage American cars plus a batmobile a delorean dmc 12 plus lots of other cars and also tons of 1950's memorabilia. so much to see. Some are just on display and others are in set up's like in this photo.
@tillycarter Thanks Krista. I did do one retro shot for the theme but this would have been a good one. It has gone a bit cooler today again now, but still pretty good for winter.
This looks great fun. It seems the 50's are the 'in' period atm we have a couple of '50's' themed places around here, one like your pic above and the other a tea shop where they use all 50's china, furniture etc. It's very popular.
@paulaw It was a really fun day. As well as displays like this there were also 77 vintage american cars in the collection and lots of other cars too. It is a huge place.
