@gerry Thanks Gerry I did have a nice few days at my daughter's. She is the one who lives in Melbourne. I am home again now. The photo on the 22 July was me flying down there. It is a lot warmer now I am home. We live further north. Thanks for the fav.
No matter how cold, it is always better to see sunshine than grey. We had minus 6 this morning but it turned into quite a nice (cold) day with the sun shining.
Smashing! I love looking out of aircraft windows but I know that whichever side of the plane I sit the captain will say "for those of you on the "x" side (i.e. the opposite side from where I am sitting) you can see..."
@steampowered Thanks Paul. Know what you mean about the seating on planes, but on these flights you can choose your seat which is what I did. I knew which side I wanted and also knew I wanted the wing in the shot. Turned out well weatherwise too.
Oh! I couldn't live in Melbourne, Looks great in the photo, but as 'they' say the best part of Melbourne is the road to Sydney, or in your case the flight to Newcastle.
@winnedreamer I love Melbourne. Lived there for 6 years and prefer it to Sydney, but it does get cold and it is so busy so it was nice to get back to Port Stephens. Less people here!! Melbourne is brilliant for photos though.
@paulaw Thanks Paula. Only had a few seconds to get this shot and the plane banked to the right just as I was taking it. Was thankful for the sun shining at the right moment.
@steampowered I always to seem t sit on the same side as you Paul! However I prefer the aisle seat so that I can get up and down.
