I normally put a people picture on 365 on a Friday, but this week I will put it on here on Saturday instead, because last night there was an amazing sunset. This glow doesn't last for long, so I had to be quick with this photo. I decided to try a shot with my glass orb and see what it came out like.
I am quite pleased with the result considering I took it outside the front of my house, hand held, holding the orb in one hand and camera in the other.
Five minutes later and this actual red glow had faded.
@lafish Thanks Laurie. First you need a clear crystal ball. This one is 80 mm diameter. I believe you can get them from ebay for about $15 AU. This photo I took very quickly holding the ball in my left hand and taking the photo one handed with my right hand. Only had a few minutes because the glow in the sky faded after about 5 minutes. Go on treat yourself to one.
@elaine55 Thanks Elaine. Just spotted your photo too. Great minds!!! Is yours new? I took a few photos with my clear glass paperweight last year and this ball is fairly new though.
@sturnus@crawest Thanks so much. I noticed the orange glow peeping through the window and ran out with my orb and camera, so it was really a spur of the moment thing and only had a few minutes to get this shot. Quite pleased with the results though.
Super shot Babs, as I just said to Elaine I'd really like to get one of these. I can barely hold my camera up one handed so don't think I'd have managed this!
@paulaw Thanks Paula. Holding the camera one handed wasn't too bad. It must be all those years of packing boxes and moving house which has strengthened the arms, ha ha. Plays havoc with the neck though!!!
Soooo FaVulous! Babs this is wonderful and a huge FAV!!! well done! BTW thank you for all of your nice comments! So appreciate them and sorry I can't thank everyone individually, Have enjoyed your friendship and your photos also!
@eyesmile Thanks so much for the fav Gena. Only had a couple of minutes to take this shot, so wasn't much time to get a decent image. A few minutes later and the red glow had gone. I went down to the waterfront and took a photo of a pelican (in my topics album) and the sky had gone from red to yellow by then. amazing how it changes so quickly.
@sunraye Thanks so much Raye and thanks for the fav. Go out and buy one they are great fun. Look forward to your shots with your new orb when you get it.
@angelat@jackie8@angelar Thanks so much. This was such a spur of the moment shot and I only had a few minutes to take it too, so was quite pleased with the results.
