@steampowered Thanks Paul. This was an experiement and I quite liked the result. I think you could be right about it being a lily. I think Deb once said "Mum is definitely not a flower person." so I thought I would give it a go.
@princessm@sunraye@lynnz@hermann@huvesaker@888rachel@jackie8@tracelee@jennyheath@flyrobin@wanabe@tesssa Thanks so much. this was a bit of an experiment. I taped a piece of baking paper to the inside of the bedroom window, with the sunlight coming in, so the flower would be backlit, then I put the bedroom light on so it would be lit from the front too. Held the flower in front of the paper and took the photo. I altered the curves in Photoshop and this was the result. Quite pleased with it.
@paulaw ha ha. Not especially but we are organising a flower workshop at our photo club in a couple of months time so thought i'd better brush up on it.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. Trying to catch up today but with little success. Dental appointment this morning and then a walk along our local beach, such a beautiful day. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-03-04 This is the beach at the bottom of our road and is in my topics album. I am doing a month of Port Stephens photos in that album.
Just off out again to a U3A meeting and hopefully will be able to catch up with photos tonight. How on earth did I find time to work!
@jaynspain Thanks Jayn. Amazing what you can do with baking paper taped to a window and some sunlight isn't it. Only the most expensive equipment in our house. ha ha.
@chimfa Thanks Jane. This was an experiment as our photo club is having a yellow theme and also later in the year we are doing a flower workshop, so I thought I'd get clued up on them both.
