Reflections

A bit late posting tonight as we have been out all day and when we got home the power went off for a couple of hours, so have only just got the power back on.

Don't know what happened but could have been a tree on power lines as it has been very windy today.

As we have been out all day, and no time to take photos, I am posting a photo I took a couple of days ago at the marina. I just loved the reflections of the boat masts on the water and the pattern it made.

Was hoping to catch up on photos tonight and may manage a couple of catch ups, but we have got an early start tomorrow out with the photo club. So hopefully I will be able to catch up more tomorrow night.

Today's black and white photo

Lovely wiggly reflections and like the colours too. I hadn't realised I was not following you - rectified now.

Love the lines in the reflections! Seems your not having much luck with internet Babs, lets hope that doesn't continue! Great shot x

Sounds like your power company needs a bit of a rev Babs, you've had a lot of problems in that department haven't you? Love the photo, those reflections are an interesting representation of what (presumably) lies just beyond the picture.

@annied Thanks Annie. Busy isn't the half of it. Next week hopefully should be less tiring.

@pittcj17 @trevor439 @karlow75 @loweygrace Thanks so much. It is getting cooler now we are almost at the end of autumn, but the sun still shines which always cheers me up.

@kathiecb Thanks so much Kathie. Busy indeed, not all fun stuff though. First half of the week was medical appointments but the second half of the week was fun stuff, so can't complain. God knows where I found time to work. It is hard work being retired!

@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel and for the follow.

@lilminimonka Thanks Brianna. It wasn't the internet which was the problem last night it was a power cut. We were in darkness for 2 hours. Well not entirely, because we do have lamps etc. It was really windy yesterday and trees came down on the power lines and we were plunged into darkness. I couldn't even connect to 365 on my phone either as I was almost out of juice there too and no electricity to charge it.

@eyesmile Thanks Gena and I agree. How did we manage before digital.
May 4th, 2014
@elaine55 We had no power last night for a couple of hours because the wind blew trees down on the power lines. Better day today, but getting a bit chilly now.

@dolphin Thanks Molly. I have taken pictures of just the reflections before I just love the patterns. The boats and the masts make beautiful shapes on the water.
May 4th, 2014
@hermann Thanks Sally. The point was just the top of the mast of the boat at the marina.

@paulaw Thanks Paula. We are lucky that the water here is so clear and blue.

@lafish @888rachel @april16 @dianeburns Thanks so much. I love reflection shots.

@golftragic Thanks so much Marnie. Yes I deliberately left out the boat from the shot and just focused on the reflection of the masts.

Power problems here were caused a few weeks ago when we had our 'great storm.' Trees down and even the power lines were split in two in that storm which is why we lost power. Yesterday we had terrific winds and a tree fell on the power lines again. Only lost power for 2 hours though, so could have been worse.

@gerry Thanks so much for the fav Gerry.

@chimfa Thanks Jane. Somebody has been drawing on the water.

Deb
This is gorgeous. The reflection are so soft it looks exactly like you mentioned, someone drawing on the water.
May 4th, 2014
@onewing IMHO you were spot-on with your boat omission judgement. Those reflections are far more striking without the boat itself.
May 5th, 2014
@dgrynn @golftragic Thanks so much. I love just the reflections shots.
