I believe this handsome chap is called Hugo and he is a Galapagos Tortoise who resides at the Australian Reptile Park.
As you can see I managed to spot him when he was in the middle of eating his elevenses. He obviously prefers carrots to his greens and two of these huge pieces of carrot went down in one go. Somebody forgot to tell Hugo that he should chew his food.
@tomtom Yes, I know I am not sure how old Hugo is, but Annie @annied might know. She has met him quite a few times too. They are on first name terms now, ha ha.
Fascinating sort of prehistoric characters.......rather fascinating to watch...he is enjoying his dinner. They must eat a lot because these tortoises are quite big aren't they?

Always something. Hugo is indeed quite a character and I have never seen anyone demolish a couple of carrots so quickly. Hope he didn't get indigestion. do giant tortoises get indigestion, not sure.
I agree Marnie he does need a few more manners, not supposed to walk in his food either.
Ha ha Eve. eating his veggies didn't keep his weight down did it.
At least he wasn't near the large rock this time I was there. ha ha.
@lilminimonka Thanks Brianna, isn't he gorgeous. I've seen him a few times too, but never seen him demolishing carrots quite so quickly before.
