My goodness what a great shot of a female keel...makes me realise that a lot of the kookaburra feathers I've found over the years....may not have been so!

wow! What an amazing bird. Never seen or heard of this. Do you know what sort of family it belongs to? Is it a bird of prey? Whatever it is quite stunning and well done you to get such a capture!
@paul10 It was quite a feat I can tell you. She was on the fence around the back of our house, so I didn't want to disturb her. I had to go out through the gate at that side of the house, in through the front door, pick up my camera and go out again through the study door. Luckily she hadn't moved.
